The short version

InstantBG removes image backgrounds entirely inside your browser. Your photos are never uploaded to, stored on, or processed by any server we operate. We don't require an account, and we don't collect the images you edit. This page explains exactly what data is and isn't involved when you use the site.

How your photos are handled

When you upload an image to InstantBG, it is processed locally on your device using a background-removal model that runs in your browser. The photo file never leaves your device and is never transmitted to us or to any server we control. Once you close or refresh the page, the image and its result are gone — we retain no copy of it anywhere.

To run the removal model, your browser downloads a machine-learning model file from a third-party content delivery network (jsDelivr). This is a one-time technical download needed to run the tool locally; it does not involve sending your photo anywhere.

Information we automatically receive

Like most websites, our hosting provider (Netlify) may automatically log standard technical information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type, device type, and pages visited. This is standard server-log data used for security and reliability, and we do not use it to identify individual visitors.

Cookies and advertising

This site may display advertisements served by Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies or similar technologies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this or other websites.
